Independent Ruqyah to Protect Your Heart and Business
Have you ever felt suddenly overwhelmed, your business sluggish, and customers scarce, despite your hard work and daily prayers? Sometimes it’s not because your business strategy is lacking, but because your heart is weakening and no longer clearly connected to Allah . Sometimes, your income feels sluggish not because of a lack of effort, but because you’ve forgotten to nurture your spiritual side.
At that point, independent ruqyah becomes a crucial endeavor. Many people assume ruqyah is only for those possessed or under the influence of magic. In reality, ruqyah is a form of prayer and self-protection from anything that can pollute the heart, whether it be lust, envy, jealousy, or the subtle influence of Satan that infiltrates the mind. For a Muslim, especially those struggling in the business world, independent ruqyah is not a mystical ritual, but a way to calm the heart, strengthen the self, and maintain the blessings of one’s fortune.
Ruqyah is not just a “jin exorcist,” but a heart cleanser.
Rasulullah ﷺ once said:
لَا بَأْسَ بِالرُّقَى مَا لَمْ تَكُنْ شِرْكًا
“There is no harm in the invocation as long as there is no polytheism in it..” (Hadith History of Muslim , no. 2200)
So, ruqyah is actually a prayer. It’s not a spell, nor a talisman. It’s a way for a servant to ask for protection directly from Allah ﷻ . Independent ruqyah involves reciting verses from the Quran and prayers of protection with the intention of cleansing the heart of all inner disturbances.
Sometimes we’re so busy strengthening our businesses that we forget to strengthen our inner selves. Yet, what Satan most often attacks isn’t our wallets, but our peace of mind. A clouded heart can lead to blurred vision, poor decisions, and heavy steps.
So when someone takes the time to read Al-Fatihah, Ayat Kursi, or Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Naas, it is not just a recitation to exorcise jinn—it is an effort to water a heart that is starting to dry up.
Independent ruqyah is a subtle way to say to yourself, “I want to regain peace.” Because a dirty heart cannot see the light. Ibn al-Qayyim once reminded us, “The heart is like a mirror. If it is dusty, it will not reflect light.”

Peace of mind, smooth flow of fortune
Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
Remember, only by remembering Allah can the heart become calm. (Qur’an Surah Ar-Ra’d [13]: 28)
A calm heart is not a gift, but the result of habitual remembrance of Allah (swt) and maintaining a relationship with Allah (swt) . In the business world, a calm heart is key. A calm person can think clearly under pressure, can be patient when orders come in, and can remain grateful when the results are abundant. But if the heart is left clouded, filled with suspicion and envy, not only will your fortune stagnate, but your life will also become more limited.
Independent ruqyah strengthens the heart in facing the currents of life. It trains us to resist fear of uncertainties, to resist envy of others’ achievements, and to persevere when tested. When the heart relies fully on Allah ﷻ , all burdens feel light, even storms feel gentle.

Independent Ruqyah for a More Blessed Business
In a business context, independent ruqyah can be considered a form of spiritual maintenance . Because a business grows not only because of strategy and capital, but also because of the blessings Allah has bestowed upon it. Some businesses may seem small but bring peace, while others may be large but lack peace.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنْفِرُ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي تُقْرَأُ فِيهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ
“Indeed Satan flees from the house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited.” (Hadith History of Muslim , no. 780)
If we wish, we can apply this verse to our business premises, shops, offices, or even within ourselves. Reciting Al-Baqarah doesn’t mean rejecting envious customers, but rather rejecting negative emotions that can creep in without us realizing it.
Ruqyah also reminds us to cultivate our intentions. If our intentions are purely for Allah , the blessings that come will be a blessing. However, if our intentions are merely to show off or seek revenge, no matter how great the results, they will feel empty. Because blessings are not in numbers, but in the accompanying sense of calm.
Independent ruqyah is a form of active tawakkal when we make efforts, continue to work hard, but are also aware that true protection does not come from strategy, but from Allah ﷻ who holds all the results.

Conclusion: Cleanse Your Heart, and Your Path to Provision Will Be Clear
Sometimes it’s not competitors that cause a business to stagnate, but ourselves, growing distant from Allah . We’re busy fixing systems, but forget about repairing relationships. Independent ruqyah is a gentle way to restore that balance.
A pure heart is like a clear vessel. Whatever Allah pours into it, whether blessings, trials, or losses, it all seems clear and easy to accept. But with a dirty heart, even the smallest problem will feel like a storm.
Ruqyah doesn’t guarantee immediate success, but it teaches us to cultivate our hearts before we try to figure things out. A clear heart makes our steps easier, our thoughts clearer, and our fortune flows more beautifully.
Ali bin Abi Thalib ra once said, “If you improve your relationship with Allah, then Allah will improve your relationship with people.” And perhaps, that is where the secret of blessings resides, in a heart that always remembers who owns all the results.
