Prayer to Complete the Quran According to the Sunnah in Ramadan

Have you completed the Quran? Don’t Forget to Pray! Ramadan is coming to an end, and if you have successfully completed the Quran, wow, that’s really cool! But, after completing it, some people are confused, “Do I have to recite a prayer?” So, what is the prayer to complete the Quran according to the Sunnah? Let’s discuss it together!

Prayer to Complete the Quran According to the Sunnah, How is it?

Actually, there is no special prayer that must be recited after completing the Quran according to the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ. However, Anas bin Malik radhiyallahu ‘anhu once gathered his family to pray together after completing it. This is a sign that praying after completing it is recommended.

Several scholars also mention prayers that often appear at the end of the Quran. One of them is:

اللهم إني أسألك برحمتك التي وسعت كل شيء أن تغفر لي

“O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy that encompasses all things, that You may forgive me.” (QS. Al-A’raf: 156)

In addition to this prayer, it is permissible for us to pray in our own language, asking for guidance, blessings, or whatever we desire. The important thing is to pray from a sincere heart.
